Can you really afford to use "free" scripts?

Occasionally we're asked why someone should purchase J-Moves when they may be able to find the scripts they need at one of the "Free" script sites. Well, the simple answer is: TO SAVE TIME--and time is money! When you consider how valuable your time is, then that free script is not actually "free," is it?

For example, let's say you're a web designer who charges $60 an hour. You spend 30 minutes looking for a JavaScript to validate an email address in a form field and another 30 minutes trying to figure out how it integrates into Expression Web. You just paid for J-Moves with that validation, plus you got 83 additional behaviors for future use!

And the real upside is that with J-Moves, creating that validation is as easy as clicking on a couple of dialog controls. Total time invested: under five minutes. That translates to a savings of 55 minutes in our example above. What could you do with that extra time? Work on another client's web site, making even more money? The entire J-Moves package contains 84 distinct behaviors. But in reality, you're getting much more! Most behaviors offer several custom options, which produce different implementation scripts. For example, our Pop-up Window Behavior can be configured so that it can be popped up in six different ways. Our Drop Down Jump Menu Behavior features five different ways it can be viewed and used by your visitors.

Easy Access Toolbar
J-Moves is tightly integrated into Expression Web, offering you three different methods of access. First, the J-Moves toolbar categorizes the 84 behaviors into five distinct sets, each with their own drop down menu.

  3. Form Behaviors
  4. Image Behaviors
  5. Navigation Behaviors

Next, the Most Recently Used (MRU) menu allows you to access the last 8 J-Moves Behaviors that you used, with a simple right-click!. This is a real time saver!

And last, the Behaviors are accessible from the Insert menu; broken down into their functional groups, as with the J-Moves Toolbar.
